Q1 - the first part is correct, (although I believe the switch on the dash is for both front and rear).

if you are having to turn the parking sensors off manually, then the front wireing harness will need to be replaced as it has frayed, and water is ingressing, causeing a malfunction, its about £45 for the harness and around 3 hours labour 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater ))) |

only slowly? if you're driving it at all with fuel at current prices then it's a fast road to poverty. and then add on the repairs due to RR (un)reliability..
