United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zermatt Silver
Dressing down

I've just been thinking (a very dangerous thing, believe me!).........

I've notived that LOADS of RRS owners buy an HSE, then spend thousands dressing it up to look like a SC (it seems to be a popular sport in USA also, with people buying the 4.4 then spending a fortune to make it look like a SC).

What about getting a SC, then dressing it DOWN to look like an HSE?
It'll still have all the performance, noise and handling of the SC, but just imagine the laughs you'll have at the traffic lights Laughing Laughing

Now, that's my Idea of fun!

Silver grille anyone? RRS 4.2 S/C. Zermatt. Tints. Stormers. 150+ paint defects, wonkey bonnet, scratches, detached doorseal. suspension faults. To sum it up, a 60k pile of cr4p!

We dont dressing them up to look like a S/C well in a way we do. We only do all this cuz the bit that are on the S/C just looks that much better.

This has be said before on this forum. That if we wanted a S/C we would of bought one and I'm sure most of us can afford to buy and run a S/C RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

It's passed Jay's bedtime, he's burbbling!

It isn't just HSE RRS's that are being given the S/C look-a-like treatment, I've encountered FFRR's recently that are really TD6's that have had the clear lense rear lights and the S/C fornt grille and side vents fitted! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Is that Josh or me you are calling Granddad? I don't retire for another 8 years I'll have you know! In my job it is compulsory to go at 57, you cannot stay on either unlike shore jobs. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I would go then too if the tight shipowners would let me, but they have just increased the retirement age due to a shortage of seafarers. To go too early would mean too big a drop in pension rights. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Never mind shipmate, I'll tell you all about it when the time comes. Though I may work part time for about 2 - 3 years till the wife retires, before I really start playing. But then again maybe I won't Question

Jay,

I don't think retiring at 51 qualifies me as G/dad. But what it does say is that I had the foresight to box clever and quit work early Ner Ner TDV6 - gone

Actually I'm not the oldest forum user , there is somebody who posted the other day who is considerably older, well into their 50's and I'm nowhere near 50 yet! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
