United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Bonatti Grey

Hi All,
New member today, just found site. Covered 6500 miles since July. On my 3rd suspension compressor pump already. My rear number plate light fell out today, the bracket has snapped inside so it pops back in but soon comes out again. Dealer says I'm closing the tailgate too hard! Has anyone else's fallen out or do you close the tailgate softly? Anybody from Cheshire areas
What do you think so far? Guy Salmons?
I personally love the thing but am getting a little concerned over reliability and the standard of service from the dealer.

Welcome to the site

Would be good if it could be shut gently, it has to be slammed.
Should be a gentle push and electronic closure in my eyes as some other makes have. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Sorry, joined a few weeks ago, but didn't see this thread, thought i should say a late hello to everyone.

Was a devoted Bmw owner, last 3 were E46 3 series, 318ci - 330d Sport - 325ci Convertible, wanted something different, wasn't really serious about the RRS Sport just went to test drive for some fun and ended up taking the demo as mine! Only had to wait 2 weeks, it came run in with 4.5k on the clock, but i still had to pay list, better then a premium though don't you think? and i have pushed in the waiting line somewhat.

05 registered, one owner, UK supplied, purchased it from stratstone, sales were a little occupied but i hammered a decent deal out of them on the finance and was able to demand them to fit me privacy glass (better then nothing) for free, well inclusive in the £44k i was about to hand them anyway!

My car is:
RRS TDV6 HSE in Java Black with Alpaca Leather,
Full Standard Spec + Bluetooth Phone Prep, Tracker Horizon System, Privacy Glass. Have added on: Supercharger Grill, Side vents, alloy centres, Black LR Badges front and rear, and a Tunit Box upgrader giving the car more grunt, pushing about 230bhp now.

Car has been back to LR for small warranty issues which weren't sorted before delivery, initial crap service was remedied somewhat after i screamed at the service guy, they seem to be a lot better now! funny how that works.
Been pulled over by Police once already (for a "routine" check) hopefully won't be hassled again.

Have a new E90 M3 on order so may leave the land of LR in April 07 (approx) when this baby arrives, although may be tempted to shift into an SC seeing as though im only managing around 20mpg in my TD so far! so the whole reason of having the diesel model seems a little pointless seeing as though the SC's get up to and around 15mpg average.

Was introduced to the site by a guy on Bm3w.co.uk and have reccomended two guys to this site already.. Hope it grows rapidly, its good to share experiences and problems as well as good times with like minded people.

Hello everyone, thought I would register over here. I don't have an RRS, but I do have a few other cars including a very early Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE. Many of the issues and features are common to both, so maybe I can help you, and vice-versa. 2004 Disco 3 TDV6 HSE in Zambezi Silver + Ebony

Welcome to the bling side Gareth, Cool

It seems to me that most of the sports owners over here dont seem to get to many problems as apposed to the Disco 3. Maybe Land Rover improved the faults that the early discos showed.

Hello you lucky Rangy Sport owners,
I've only joined to post a complaint about my local Land Rover Dealers not answering or returning calls, see dealership feedback section.
You may have the oldest or youngest members and the highest mileage member or most crashed!!!
But what about the poorest, that's me surely must with a take home pay of less than £200 a week without overtime. To be honest I don't even own one yet, it'll be early next year, if I can find a dealer who'll take my deposit!!!! But when I do get mine I bet I'll hold the title of 'Lowest Paid Sport Owner'
I can't wait to see my bosses and Merc driving supervisors faces!! this member has only recently joined and has yet to prove RRS ownership. Please re-register and submit income details on your profile information page.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hello everybody!!

Not a RR driver myself (Mitsubishi EVO VIII FQ340!!) but my mum has just ordered a RRS TD6 HSE in Java Black with black leather.
Specced with privacy glass and Dynamic pack with 20" wheels as well as the SC grilles.
Should take delivery first week of Jan if the dealer lives up to his promise.

Nice to have a forum dedicated to the RRS already!

Smile

Hi all. Well, I've ordered my RRS Supercharged and should see it in December. I'm currently driving a 2005 RR HSE. Not sure if I'm doing the right thing, as I love the RR but really wanted something a little more agile and with more power.

Look forward to chatting with you all.
