WATER IN FOOTWELL

Hi folks, both my drivers side front and rear footwells are sodden with water. I have cleared all 4 sunroof drains which were blocked and with the carpets pulled back in the front I can't see any visible leaks now. Does anyone know if there are any other common sources for water to get into the drivers side footwells?.

If you put the following in the search box it will bring up a few threads

+water +footwell

Using the + sign in front will only bring threads up with both words,

I had this same problem!!

It turned out to be a sunroof issue I had blocked pipes water was building up around the sunroof outlets and spilling over in to the roof lining, dripping throw the light fitting when I hit the breaks! I used a thin metal flexible sink unblocking rod with tape on the end so not to split the rubber hoses and pushed it down the outlets to unblock the pipes. This worked a treat except next time it rained both my foot wells got wet!! Behind the foot well covers there is a join in the drain pips and I had pushed them apart with the rod!! Just need to remove the foot well covers and rejoin the pipes together - simple!

The drain outlet pipes run from the drain holes around the sunroof down the A pillar behind the foot well covers to an outlet just behind the front wheels.

Hope this helps Thumbs Up Cheers Laurence.

If the RRS has had a windscreen replaced it can cause a leak. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

When the screen is replaced the fitter damages the pollen filter box. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

My range rover seems to be letting water in to the drivers side footwells only when driving in wet weather... any ideas?

After water ingress issues with previous Discos, I'd never spec a car with a sunroof again - especially anything out of Lode Lane.
