Are the 2.7 engines good for lots of miles if looked after?
Any common faults to look out for?
Seems to be alot selling around 90/100,000 mile mark.

Reason is that the TDV6 engine requires a cambelt change at 105,000 miles/7 years - it's about an £800 job.

Does that meant the TDV8 doesn't need a cambelt change ? Proud owner of a 2008 TDV8 HSE.....and an Audi A3 2.0T DSG Cab and a Porsche 911 Turbo (Mercedes W208 320 CLK and Mercedes W124 E220 Estate now gone)

Hello to Everyone!

Just signed-up to the site, been reading the various forums over the last couple of days and have been very impressed with the wealth of knowledge and understanding you guys have on the RRS. I feel like I've learned a lot already and won't panic if I see some of the weird and wonderful symptoms you guys have already discussed.

I purchased the car last August, she's a 06 2.7 TDV6 in Java black, with privacy glass, black leather, xenon's, PDC, premium ICE pack, memory seats, TV screens, sunroof, navigation system, bluetooth, tow pack, 19" wheels and had done 107K km's (~66K miles) when I bought her.

Only a couple of issues so far, squeaking brakes after sitting on the forecourt and a height sensor also needed to be replaced, both of which the dealer rectified within the warranty period. I've since had the front sway bar bushes and steering coupling replaced after she developed a knocking sound when riding over the bumps.

I absolutely love this car, she does everything we want her to do from chewing-up the miles on the tarmac to driving unsealed roads and bush tracks

Current items on the shopping list at the moment are

- bottle jack to replace the cheap scissors
- updated maps for the sat nav (from whereismaps)
- front and rear light guards
- more substantial front recovery / snatch point
- second set of rims, probably steel with off-road rubber for messing about

Thanks for taking the time to read my post and hope I can offer some value in future responses

Cheers /Pete

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Bourneville

Hi, all, I have just traded a Merc ML 270 CDi for RRS TDV6 3.0 – which I collect on Friday.

I do lots of motorway miles and lots of towing (of race car and wheels/spares, about 2,000 kgs) so am looking forward very much to the RRS..............it was choice between that and a Landcruiser (of which I’ve had several, all very reliable but lacking the RRS style)......am hoping the RRS reliability is on a par with its technology and features, which look superb............

Hello all,

This is my first foray into Range Rover ownership.
Bought a 56' RRS TDV8 at the weekend.
Haven't driven it much yet, but enjoying it so far.
Bought from Stratstone Milton Keynes. Appreciated the help I got from their sales guy John Brooks, very helpful fella.
I'm considering buying a set of winter wheels/tyres. Any advice on 20 or 19" rims, and where to buy to get best value would be most welcome. Thumbs Up

Thanks Ady.
I live Near Milton Keynes. How far down the M1 would you be prepared to come to meet up if I decided to go for them? Also, do you have a Paypal account, or an alternative way to transfer the money?
Cheers Thumbs Up
