Ive got a life and its pretty awesome if im honest with you. Strike wont change anything and will only serve to alienate the rest of the country further. If there was a magic pension tree somewhere I would wholeheartedly support keeping Public sector pensions in place, Back in the real world there isn't and given the choice, do I want to have to pay more taxes to support a sector which I already pay through the nose for yet provides substandard service? Not a chance. Reality of the situation is Joe Public knew very little about the background other than the big bad government were beating up the public sector, ill admit I never fully understood the extent of the problem until Wed myself. The unions will talk about 85% public support id quite happily eat my hat if that was the case, after wed I suspect its not even 50% and that figure will reduce after each and every strike. |

ok fair points, x5pea, i dont want to pay any more tax either, and some of the public services are sub standard, we all know that!!, i am still reeling with the NHS and crosshouse hospital and their foreign (cheaper??) doctors for not diagnosing a simple virus which eventually killed my mother last month.

Where would all the old Etonians go, surely this is why it was invented to find middle and senior management roles for those who know sweet FA about the service they are suppose to be running and would not make it in the private sector Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |
