The whole reason we are in this situation in the first place is because of the attitude of the majority of people in this country who are not willing to contribute and pay there way, these are the people who are taking everything out of this country. Forget the bankers, if we didnt live in a society that loved benefits and something for nothing our country would not be broke at all. i work in the ambulance service and no where else is this apparent. The reason the NHS is shocking is because 90% of its 'customers' are freeloaders who WILL NOT help themselves. People believe they have the right to everything for nothing. I havnt responded to a GENUINE 999 emergency for ages because people call because they have a cold, or cant be bothered phoning there doctor and worse of all, its free, free trip to hospital, free treatment and free everything!

I ain't no communist and my car was purchased for nowhere near £50K!! Very Happy

I do, however, have every sympathy for people who have worked their entire lives with the expectation of something only to have it taken away because they work in a sector that is loathed and despised by Gideon and his fellow old Etonian millionaires!!

Can you come up with a better way of standing up to a government lining it's pockets Confused

The problem is the government - what company would place an order then pay millions more than quoted then park and not use it ie, aircraft carriers or spend billions on a plane then cut it up and buy another, ie nimrod Shocked

I keep hearing about a recession but the shops are full of people buying, the restaurants are full of people eating, the airports are full of holidaymakers - I was a kid in the 70's and we did not have holidays or eat out so I am a bit skeptical Confused Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

Then there is the retirement age increase, for most of us on here who was expecting to retire at 65 they are now making us work until we are 67 to get the state pension Mr. Green Mr. Green Why make someone who's worked all their live, work even longer to get something that they deserve and have paid into Mr. Green They say there are xyz number of youngsters out of work, well why don't they let the golden oldies retire early and get the lazy little Censored who are on the internet till the small hours of the morning then in bed till dinnertime to get up off their lazy arses and get a job. Rant over for now.
