Headlights

Is it possible to turn off the feature where the headlights stay on after leaving the car.
Tried looking on the settings menu but it only seems to let me set the duration to a minimum of 30 seconds.
Even using the lights in manual mode the lights still stay on.

Thanks for any help

I use the fob function to turn them off manually if they're not needed

Not looked into disabling them I assumed it was in that settings menu RRS gone

Turn the ignition off and the lights come on, turn it on then off again and the lights will go off.

But you can disable them in the settings menu using the button on the left stalk!

I don't know if this is the correct way but it worked.
Ignition off, lights turned to off.
Turn ignition one click and turn lights to on.
Turn off lights then turn ignition back.
I then tested by restarting the engine turned the lights on then off, shut engine off and bingo no welcome home lights.

Big ken i think this is what you suggested in a not so long winded way Thumbs Up

Looks like I was wrong. Just been to the gym and the welcome home lights or whatever they are called were back in operation.
How do I permanently turn the this feature off????

Headlamp Timer is a driver convenience feature which illuminates the driveway after leaving the vehicle.
To select this feature, the lighting control switch must be in the headlamp or side lamp position when the ignition switch is moved from the ignition position II to the off position. The lighting control switch must be moved to the off position or AUTO position (if fitted) to activate the timer.
The timer function will then be initiated and low beam headlamps will be illuminated for the selected timer period.

In other words, maybe you are not switching off your headlights/sidelights before switching off the ignition. And if you leave your lights switch to AUTO, this function is permanent. Wink Malaysia Boleh!

In the 2010 or newer models, yes you can disable it in the menu. On the older ones you can't

As Bobby said, you have to turn your lights off BEFORE turning the engine off..otherwise it will enable the "follow me home" lights when the key is finally removed.

As I said before, I just blip the key fob once when I'm out the car and they go out immediately RRS gone
