Saw a Panamera for the first time in the flesh yesterday.........we be sheltered down ere in Devon see ! they dont look to good in dark red, found a 55 plate Toerag for £9,995 though !!! I know what you are saying about bloody cars, that stooopid Jag XF took a year out of my life with it's constant niggles, every time you turned your back on it it threw a hissy fit. As much as I like the exotic stuff I have learnt that the faster the car is the weaker it is !!....... 2CV's all round then |

If you want a sporty four door look at the Maser. They are gorgeous inside and out. Sound like thunder and have a passion no german car can ever give. Also, people love em so no being cut up or blocked out like you get in a Porsche. I'm back with Land Rover |

Agreed, these sort of schemes are completely ridiculous. Many are in bed with or own their own hire car company, with completely unjustifiable hire costs for cars. I know of an example where a chap with a £1800 MGF had an Audi TTRS for 3 weeks at £600 per day while his car was being repaired. £12,600 in hire costs to repair a car worth less than 15% of that. And people wonder why insurance costs are rising at a ridiculous rate. What with this and the fraudulent injury claims and those who reverse into others and claim to be hit from behind. Whatever happened to old fashioned honesty and just putting up with a bit of inconvenience when we have an accident? Ive seen cars hired out at over £1000 per day on these accident management companies "like for like" schemes. Even if they do go to court, its no skin off the management companies nose if they lose, as they more often than not have financial interests in the lease company anyway - so they just suck up the legal fees and have no other expenses - the hire car company just writes off the charges. If anyone does use one of these management companies, it may be worth finding out who the other party is insured with. If its the same company as yourself (or one of their sister companies) then those ridiculous hire car costs will filter their way down to your own premium next year. RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras. |
