Mine's going back tomorrow to be assessed... so glad I got a 2nd opinion (maybe take yours to another body shop and get them to comment on the work standard?)... means they cannot argue with you when you say you've had a 3rd party expert look at it. RRS gone

Whats wrong with your paint work awd?

They have burned/bubbled the paintwork on the upper tailgate with the machine polisher.

At 1st they said it was a paint defect, but I got it looked at by my "trusted" body shop and they confirmed it was blistered due to friction heat.

Emailed them with this new info and they've backed right down and are now re-spraying the tailgate RRS gone

If you lot saw the state of my 110 you'd all have a breakdown

I dont think theres a single part of it that hasnt got paint damage, even the roof rack is bruised from where I leant it on a rock !  08 2.7 RRS "S"

AWD: I have sent the photos to my LR delaer service manager, and his comment was How the Hell did they miss that ! Why do we even bother taking care of what we have,?

I sent them an email yesterday evening, and by my reckoning its now 40 minutes into the working day and I havent even got an acknowledgment, do I really expect too much ... Or do I run my business and take pride in Customer Service?

Well the Garage has called and said that they will take the car in next monday and give me a Free lander for a few days whilst they correct what they have done. He said that they will correct anything that I am not happy with. I suppose I cant argue with that.

He is going to get all the statement of works ready so I know exactly whats been done on my car so far.

I just hope he gets it right !

Car picked up and repaired to my high standards at last. I went over with a magnifiying glass and you couldnt see a thing. The paint work actually matches the car now.

On the way home i skipped into the Car detailing warehouse and couldn't resist buying some more products. I am a happy happy girl now I can clean her all weekend !

Next time you go in could you ask them what they would recommend to get greasy fingerprints off the plastic trim on my front door windows I can't get them off ? MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Well Ive just spent the past three hours Claying my bonnet and waxing her. She looks impressive now ! Im Bushed. !

I always use Auto Glym Glass polish, out of the squeezy bottle not the spray. This seems to get all sorts off the door pillars. This is my pet hate. I hate it when people do not recognise the handles for shutting the door. (Foxcub is worst culprit)!

There are two shops that I go to .

LK Performance in Cleckheaton stock full range of Pourboys, Autoglym and Macguires.

Thanks to both of you I think I may have got some of that
LR replaced the scratched originals and the new ones got greased up before I had chance to seal them again.
Will try that at the weekend and report back. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.
