DIESEL FLAP WONT OPEN

Hi just gone to fill the car with diesel 2006 RRS and the flap on the car wont open.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be and is there a manual way of opening the flap because im short on juice.

Thanks

I think there is a manual ring pull in the boot. If you open the right hand side cover thingy you may find it there.

I had a similar problem to this on mine. For me the problem was that there is a little black plastic bit on the flap that comes off sometimes. LR Engineering at it's finest. Whistle You can get the part at your dealer for peanuts and then it should be right as rain if your problem is the same. Without this bit there is nothing for the release mechanism to work against and open the flap.

Until then it is a real pain to open but can be done at the pump with perserverance Sad 2011 Autobiography Santorini Black

I currently use my credit card to prise it open until the replacment rubber bit that helps it pop open arrives at my local dealer.

Mine used to do this, I used to have to lock/unlock using the keyfob to get it open. Then I sprayed the bit which releases with WD40 about 3 months ago and it hasn't done it since Wink
