Belgium 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Newbie and potential RRS owner

Walked into the LR dealership yesterday so I could show my wife the Disco 3 as a replacement for her Saab Estate...she fell in love with the RRS. Dealer told us that orders for new RRS' in Belgium placed now will deliver at the end of the year...but he has a Zambezi Silver SE TDV6 in stock which was ordered by someone but never collected (its on the showroom floor as "sold") - options are 19" wheels, removeable trailer hitch and metallic paint.

Should I go for this one? The SE as a model fits what I'm willing to pay for a second car - navigation I can get aftermarket as I understand that the 2810 EUR OEM unit cannot be programmed while driving (my Volvo XC90 has steering mounted controls for the SATNAV) so I would have passed on that anyway.

What kind of discount off list should I expect? Any advice is welcome.

One way or another - we'll own one and hope to be a regular visitor and contributor to the forum.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Welcome to the board Singletrack.

The RRS is really holding its price at the moment so I would be surprised if you will see much of a discount from your dealership. Especially as this particular vehicle is a cancelled order rather than a second hand model.

But what ever the price, your wife has obviously got good taste in new vehicles. Go for it, you will not be disappointed. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

ZSingletrack, welcome.............. the SE has 18" wheels as standard, you could always haggle over the 19's - probably worth about 1500/2000 Euros, but as TB says LR can sell every RRS it makes at the moment so discounts are rare or not great. The other way to look at it is to get the dealer to give you the rubber mat for the boot floor and some matching carpet footwell mats to sweeten the deal of taking this cancelled order off his hands! Or if you are feeling daring try for 4 years free servicing! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hi Singletrack - to be honest the RRS is a great shape - I would welcome a stripped out Supercharged without half the toys that you dont really need or use!!! A CHEAPER TOY Confused

NO Satnav - cheaper more versatile portable/mobile ones around now

NO Adaptive cruise control - In the UK - everyday use = useless

Cheaper headlights - Halogen ?

No heated front windscreen/seats/washer jets

Simple bluetooth handsfree phone intergrated kit

Who needs PDC - cut the cost

Alcantara seat facings

The list goes on.... So lets strip it out..... Shocked

What do you think = an "RS" version of the RRS supercharged Confused hhhmmm

Dont reply here - see my post in New Topic http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=30755#30755

Finally agreed terms and placing the order

It's done - we've agreed on everything. The dealer had a stock car on the production schedule which very nearly matched our needs - that order has now been modified and we are promised delivery by the 25th of August, 2006. It will be an '06 model but other than a price increase and the introduction of the V8 diesel - there are apparently no other changes planned for the '07 model, so I'm okay with the MY.

So it's a RRS TDV6 HSE Java/Ebony/Cherry Wood, with PTI, Cold Climate (we're from Canada Wink ), privacy glass, trailer pack, and Sun Roof.

My wife had her first test drive today and love's it (this is to be her car) although she finds it BIG. I've explained why BIG is good in Belgium...My teenage daughters love the idea of a car regularly featured on MTV's "Cribs".

I have to say the deal is quite good. In fact, better than what my fleet guy told me to expect. Seems the first salesman we met went further than his boss would have preferred, but the terms will be honoured.

I'm Very Happy

Australia 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Hi from W.Australia

Hi RRSPORT.CO.UK.

I have been closely following the banter too and fro since I ordered my RRS back in Feb. Informative, witty and sometimes freaky I think sums it up.

Well the big day has arrived!! Very Happy My Baby apparently arrived at the dealer yesterday but I was not there to greet her. I am currently at work up in the Timor Sea (500mi NW of Australia) Cool and will not be back in Australia until 1st Jun. Will hopefully pick my car up on the 2nd.

I ordered a Java with Alpaca TDV6 with the dynamic response pack, 20in Stormers and tow pack. I have also ordered head and tail light grille protectors, roof rails and cross bars and SC grille and vents. All these parts I have brought over the net and had them shipped to Aust. as the prices of accessories here is almost double, even taking into account the P&H. The dealer is doing the rightey by me and has agreed to fit it all before I pick the car up.(At a price of course) The only thing he was not happy to do was change out the door trims and hockey sticks. (I have brought the Cherry wood trim from a fellow forum member in the US). The dealer said they hadn't done it before and was afraid of damage to the door trim. I guess I will have to do it myself Sad Crying or Very sad
Is there anyone out there that has attempted a trim change out themselves? The only other option I suppose would be a subscription to the GTR site and see if I can find some instructions in the workshop manual.

Any help appreciated 2006 RRS TDV6, Java/Alpaca, Dynamic Response Pack, Tow Pack, Head and Tail light protectors, 20" Stormers, Roof Rails, S/C Grill and Side Vents, Tasmods. AutoLogic mod.
1988 RR Highline, 3.5 EFI Arctic White, ARB Bullbar, Roof Rails, 15" Alloys, Front and Rear light Grilles, Side steps. (Still going strong)
