If you want to join in the fun have a look at http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic64159.html if you've got a TDV6 lump. It easy to check, if I can do it a blind monkey with a severe hangover can do it. Thought of you peeps as the RRS is just the D3s less good looking twin!

Cleaned mine today, fairly heavily soiled and you could not see the hole into the sensor so I am guessing that the performance was less than optimal. Wiped the worst of the crud off and then a quick blast of WD40 dissolved the rest away. Have only driven about 1 mile since but the car seems quieter under gentle acceleration (after I had an EGR valve replaced in January the car seemed to make more noise- possibly the MAP sensor is getting a more accurate reading and keeping the valves closed?), will see if there are any further improvements to note in the coming days. |

Don't know yet, after i cleaned it i put it straight into my garage, i will let you know tomorrow, i'm not sure i will notice any difference because ive just had it remapped and boy what a difference that has made to the power been on a run to the good old yorkshire dales A&B roads and a good blast on the keighley bypass 90 mile round trip up hill and down dale and i was surprised to return 27.8 mpg computer reading which isn't far out at all on my motor, the most mpg ive ever had before the remap was 23mpg, the engine is smoother and quieter pickup is sooo much quicker, it now gives you a kick in the back, throttle response is quicker and i'm also getting more mpg which is a bonus, |

Been kind of watching the remap debate here, seems much more common D3side than here. For me it's a case of which remap, whether to remap or not doesn't even come into it. Had 2 cars remapped & never had any issues related to that. Also never had any problems with warranty work with dealers, never had to remove it. Most stealers sell remaps anyway at inflated prices. Getting my remap put back on Thursday, lost when new turbo fitted.

Don't know for sure, I'm not techie, but can't see why not. If it's easily accessible deffo worth a try, though I've no idea where it is as LR couldn't be bothered putting the TDV8 in D3s. |
