BA****DS!

Took the HST in for its annual service this morning gleaming (as has been seen in my thread prior).

Picked it up at 2.30 and drove back to the office, all seemed well. Jumped out in the office car park and found that BOTH my near side alloys are all kerbed Censored Censored Censored Censored

These were brand new only a month or so ago Shocked

I have spoken to the Service manager who tried to say they were there when I dropped it off (yeah right!) but have now agreed to refurb them.

Do you think this is good enough or should I be demanding new wheels?? I'm not wise as to how well wheels can be refurbed??

Any comments and help appreciated, this has RUINED my day, why did I even bother paying dealer prices to have this level of service Big Cry Censored

cheeky c Censored s!!!!

Once refurbed alloys look new........so I'd be happy with the refurb......and £100 off next service or something for the "trying to get away with it" attitude!!

I feel your pain!

My view is that - dealers can charge the higher rates - but that is because they need to be providing a higher -top quality-service.

I think the best you will get is refurbed (i know the diamond turned ones dont refurb although i also know that i know nothing about wheels!) - but i would agree with you, new ones should be offered...maybe hold for new replacements...or some comprimise that they get yours back to do whatever and replace yours with a new pair Mike

New wheels...no question

Or go over them with a fine tooth comb after....

I had my Subaru alloys refurbed and the mend was always visible and over a few months pitted more than the alloy, so looked worse. RRS gone

My problem is these are 22" Supersports Shocked

If they were the standard Stormers I would DEMAND a new set and they could keep these shagged ones Censored

So a refurb will make them as good as new you reckon?

I'm shocked that they tried to weazzle out of it, especially as I'd just spunked £430 on a service! Whoever did it MUST have known they had done it, we all feel kerbs/ramps etc when we hit them Censored

Poor show not to bow and admit it in my book. I will certainly NOT be using them again Censored

Here you go, both drivers side wheels are the same, its on the proud part of the dog leg if you know what I mean. After inspecting closer, it looks as though they have had the wheels off and placed them face down and dragged them? I'm not sure, but I'm not happy Censored

Agree! I had this once, looked like they not very carefully put the face down! The whole circumference of the proud lip was damaged!

Censored er's

might have rested them against a wall or something whilst working on the car, the scratches look a to be more surface ones than that done by a kerb Neutral

Not good, make you want to have them check and double your car prior to them getting near it Confused

Not kerbed, as you say... draged along a stone floor or something..the supersports have no protection from being treated like that!

On plus, not much reconstructing to do, just sanding and re-finishing.

A good sprayshop would prob do an invisible repair.

Up to you...are they genuine or copies?

If they repair, make sure the colour match is 100% before accepting... even if they have to colour match all 4 to get it right (Silver is a biatch to get matched) Thumbs Up RRS gone
