Strange marks on side steps?

Gave the RRS a good clean today and now it's dried I have noticed water type marks on the aluminium part of the side steps? These are new and weren't there yesterday Confused

Anybody else had this?

It's whatever chemical you use to clean it with.... You'll have to use a metal polish to buff them out MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

Crikey, I'm a bit of a detailing freak and use PH neutral cleaner?!

I've got some Autosol metal polish, will that do the trick?

Yeah mate...

I'm the same about detailing, but I still get the marks!

If you look at them they'll probably follow the grooves in the plastic of the steps? MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

Exactly!

It's the first time I've cleaned it since I bought it so it's all a learning curve at the moment. So Autosol will do the trick then?

Did you get them fitted by the LR dealer and is your car still in warranty? Might be worth a try and claim. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

What wheel wax would you recommend and what's the best thing to remove it?

Cheers Thumbs Up

Right, I've been scrubbing these marks with Autosol and it's not making a single bit of difference Sad

Any other ideas? I've read on the net that White vinegar and then bicarbonate of soda would work?

Well I'm not going to do that! I've only had them on 8 weeks so I'll get a new set on warranty.
