The S.I.A. reset procedure detailed here will not work on the sport as this is for 02-05 L322 Rangerover NOT a sport.

For a MY08 Sport (i.e. One reset button on the instrument panel) it is something like this:

Hold down Reset Button
Turn Key to position 1 (so dashboard lights up)
"Service" will flash 4 times on the milage display
(You can release the button as soon as "Service" appears)
"dist" then appears on the milage display.

(Now this is where my memory is vague)

Depending on the type of service being indicated (distance covered, or elapsed time from last service) you need to either reset the "dist" service or toggle to "date".

To toggle to date, hold down the rest button for a couple of seconds. When "date" is displayed further pressing of the button through the display options confirms resetting of the service indicator

Usual caveats apply that any one following the above comments does so at their entire own risk

Just tried it on my 2006 2.7... I have one button on the right and it doesn't seem to work. Anyone know a step by step on one button version?

You can't do it manually, i'm afraid its a trip to the dealers for them to plug it in to their machine, i had the same problem, £50 was the cost Big Cry

I have the workshop manual downloaded for my specific VIN - it has a manual process but it does not work (in fact I can not actually follow it) - why put it in if it does not work? typical landrover crap.

Landrover want you to get work done on their cars at their dealerships - might be OK in the UK bur not in Aust wherem dealerships are being wound back and owners might have to drive a 2000km round trip to get their vehicles serviced - then most landrover dealers are not better than the local backyard mechanic but they do have the computer gear - but then the local mechanic tries to actually diagnose issues rather than waiting for a computer which just says - replece diff or replace gearbox.

Landrover have lost the plot - they are now Europe centric and their products are not fit for use (maintenance wise) outside metropolitan areas.

Gary,
Does your downloaded workshop manual cover the RRS Tdv6 2006 model?
Where did you get this from?
Thanks

I paid for a subscription to Topix and downloaded the required sections from there. You download what is required for your VIN.
