Having just done a 40 odd mile trip on the GGS setting my right leg is about to fall off! The RRS behaved impeccably in the snow and slush and ice but I had to give the accelerator a serious push to keep the car moving and to maintain a cruising speed.

Not that I have noticed certainly up to 120km/h on the motorway around here, but are you going to be travling that fast in slippy conditions? Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

it modifys the throttle response in making you have to press the pedal harder to get a little more speed ie it gives you very little at the start. It also engages the centre diff lock (and rear diff lock if you have it) and makes them more sensitive to wheel slip also brings in the traction control and ABS to modify wheel slip.

Hi guys loving the snow and the GGS mode, now the reason it feels sluggish to pull away is it's in second gear, you can see this if you select manual mode. Also it won't change past 3rd gear, again if u use manual mode you'll see. It selects 2nd to stop you mashing the throttle and spinning the tyres. You cam overide in manual, also doesn't go past third to stop you going to fast which you wouldn't want to do if conditions are that bad! If you have the 4 x 4 screen on you will notice only transmission and rear axle diffs only lock when needed, again if you mash throttle you only cause the TC to cut in. I find manual mode in GGS the best, as when ur slowing at an icey junction you can select 1st to give extra engine braking.
