England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

So, my plan of action would be to get it moved to Guava or at least speak to them and get a second opinion.

Engines don't just die like that - not the way you describe it. Shocked

What happens when you try to crank it?

It's been confirmed

It is dead, there was swarf in the oil but not in filter or gearbox oil. The engine is well and truly seized!

Who serviced it last? You may be able to pin some blame on them!

Guava serviced it a week before but it had been running fine.

Well surely you should be declaring war on them!

Not only have they shafted your engine, but they've completely wrecked the resale value of your car.

Have a search on DISCO3 side, fair few occurrences of engines packing up (same lump, RRS being a D3 in drag). Lots of them full of oil, either injector failure or crank failing (me non techie do don't know details). Bobby, these engine do seem to die like that. I know 2 peeps that have had engines go like that. Unfortunately the phrase "bullet proof" does not apply to these engines! Sad
