United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Galway Green

Hi all, has anyone had any problems with the volcanic ash on their sports ? i got back of easter break abroad to find it dried and pooled all over the cars . washing it of today took some time and the scaring will not evan T cut out . Its definatley the ash, orange brown and even stuck the wipers to the glass . Im ringing my insurers on Monday me thinks !!

I don't believe we have had any fall out in the UK Confused

Definatly no sign on my car in Leeds

Fallout is acidic from what I understand, so any on a car should be rinsed with lots and lots of water to dilute it, don't scrub it off as it's very abrasive as it's made up of tiny rock type particals

if you think it's fall out, I recon a pro detailer might correct it cheaper, if you have a high excess

Def not ash......we have not had any in this country yet, and if we do it will fall with any rain.......probably something else. House next door to mine was on fire the other night and left a huge deposit all over my car - had to jet wash it - first time in 4 weeks.....all ok now..

Evacuated for 4 hours.....spent in a police van, from 2am til 6am.....nobody hurt......

Well all the lads at work had the same thing on theirs but washed it of sooner. As I was on hols it was caked on. I've seen sahara dust too and volcanic in the 80s ,but this was yellow brown sulphery crap ! Its bad and its out there, wait and see for more probs '
