Volcano

Stuck in Amsterdam, was meant to be flying back to Manchester this afternoon, now I don't see me getting home much before Monday - at least I saw this coming and managed to extend my hotel booking yesterday before everywhere booked-up solid. Guess there are worse places to be stuck though - I'm just remembering that Lloyd Cole hit from the 80's...

So how many of you dedicated owners who spend hours keeping their RRS's in showroom condition are now desperately searching the shelves of Halfords for Autoglym Volcanic Ash Remover? Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Just thinking... 70 years ago hundreds of British civilians sailed across the channel to rescue the military from Europe at Dunkirk. Now the roles are reversed, why aren't the Navy mobilising to rescue us? I'm sure that there weren't many discussions about H&S and corporate liability in the 1940s.

Dan Snow (the TV historian bloke) got together half a dozen RIBs today and was ferrying trapped people from Calais back to Dover for a donation to charity, but he's now been shut down. Don't know why yet, but I can guess... Mad Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

My inlaws are stuck out in the middle east.. being told to try and get their connecting flight to istanbul and they will be looked after there. Not sure what is happening but from the sounds of it, the volcano erruption hasn't even stopped yet, looking like tues/weds for it to climax apparently, so think this is going to stay like this for a while.

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Autobiography Stornoway Grey

Have to admit that its amazingly peaceful up here just now without all the choppers flying overhead out to the rigs and back all day!! There were 2 yesterday and for the first time in ages it was a case of "Oh look!! Helicopters flying" Laughing Dont know if they were ones that had been stranded on the rigs waiting as I never heard anything going out prior but it could have been before I woke in the morning as the first flights are normally 7am.

Going to be costing oil companies a fortune in overtime for the guys that should have come off shift by now too. Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

535d m-sport Platinum grey and a few extras.... Gone

My step son was in South Africa, he caught a flight to Cairo, then to Rome where he txt me "Can you come and pick me up from Rome?" cheeky lad that he is! after a bit of negotiation I'm off down to pick him up from Milan in the morning. Pity the high passes in the Alps are still closed it could have been an interesting run Smile Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Last time this volcano erupted, on any significant scale 200 years ago, it erupted for 12 months. Shocked --------------------------------------------------------
