Now KIA are offering 7 year warranties on new vehicle will other manufacturers follow ?

It doesn't make sense for them to do this, if people happily accept 3 years why would they change?

One things for sure it wont be Volvo. The amount of warranty work that got done on my xc90 if they had a 7 year on it theyd be bankrupt on that one car!!! Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

Just seen an advert on TV. Toyota now giving 5 years warranty. So getting close. |

I think many manufacturers won't want to move away from 3 year warranties due to the amount of customers who like the peace of mind that the original manufacturer's warranty brings, and who currently change their vehicles every 3 years because that's when the warranty currently expires - those customers are probably going to hang on to their cars a few years longer if the warranty was to be extended, especially in the current financial climate.
