United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
3.0 tdv6 Turbo Lag

Is it just me, or does anybody else have a 3.0 tdv6 with turbo lag?

I have always noticed it when compared to the demonstrator, but as it was better than my previous car i did not worry about it too much. However, the lag is now starting to get to me and i wondered if it was a common fault and if anyone knows if dealers can do anything about it?

Many thanks. 2010MY HSE 3.0 TDV6. Stornoway Grey/Ivory. Extended leather, winter pack.

Looks like I am popping into my local LR dealership ( over an hour away).....

Thanks for the responses, it should help my confidence in expressing the problem when talking with the dealer. 2010MY HSE 3.0 TDV6. Stornoway Grey/Ivory. Extended leather, winter pack.

I'm also only getting 24 mpg. Most of it fairly sensible motorway and country driving.

Spoken to the dealer, if i want a loner i need to book a wek ahead and then get lumbered with a Freely.

I have been doing a great deal of asking around and research and think that I have discovered the problem.

There is a recall on some new 2010MY Range Rover Sports under the Land Rover Assurance Programme (Q093) that relates to this problem (turbo lag and poor fuel economy). Apparently it is a software update and a turbo part change.

What is frustrating is LR and its dealer network know about this recall, had the parts and did not apply it before supplying my new car on 1st March.

I am awaiting a response from the dealer who supplied my car..... 2010MY HSE 3.0 TDV6. Stornoway Grey/Ivory. Extended leather, winter pack.

Q093

just come back from my dealer after suffering a 3rd "limp home" sensation since new (4,444 miles spooky Shocked ) and i have been pushed in to the front of tomorrows workshop schedule for the 2 hour s/w patch and replacement component parts (which replace the component parts supplied at 774 miles) to fix these restricted performance issues, i hope. Should this be sticky as the re call is alledged to be in the post to all affected owners as of this week, but i havent had one yet? My 2010MY RRS 3.0 TDV6SE is Nara Bronze with Almond leather, straight grain walnut trim, 20" 15 spoke alloy's, mood lighting and power fold mirrors Gone

Please keep us updated on this. My car's fuel economy is also nowhere near of what I could achieve with my previous MY06 TDV6 RRS. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

27 mpg average on a tank with 30 mpg on a sedatish 80-85 mph cruise on the A1. I am hoping to get the average up to 30+ so will see how we go next week post this "upgrade" as i have a number of far flung places to be! My 2010MY RRS 3.0 TDV6SE is Nara Bronze with Almond leather, straight grain walnut trim, 20" 15 spoke alloy's, mood lighting and power fold mirrors Gone

Spoke to the Dealer Principal and then the service department. They called back and were extremely helpful. They are coming to pick up my car (over an hour away) and leaving me with their RRS demonstrator while they fix the car and then return it. It does seem as if all owners will be contacted very soon regarding the Q093 recall.

I am pleased and look forward to getting my car back 'as it should be'. Very Happy I'll report back on how it goes.

It is amazing how a bit of good customer service can keep one on-side.

Thanks for all the info and guidance via this thread and PM's Thumbs Up 2010MY HSE 3.0 TDV6. Stornoway Grey/Ivory. Extended leather, winter pack.

I was not impressed with the fuel consumption compared to the 2.7 although did not notice a turbo lag. Vehicle went in Monday 1st March for gearbox warning and had a number of software updates at the same time.

In the last week have covered over 1000 miles and returned 28.1mpg average, now thats more like it. MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

Popped in this morning to have Defenders first MOT, whilst waiting was given the same choice wine / chocolates for my Sports updates on the 1st March - took the wine.

Looks like there are now 3 more updates since 1st March, so will be back in again in a couple of weeks. Hope the new free wine initiative is ongoing for each update Thumbs Up MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,
