Got a call about this from my Dealer the other day. I'm taking the car in tomorrow morning to get the
software updates done. It'll be interesting to see what effect it has on the mpg. Wonder if I'll get the Chocs or Vino El Colapso offer ?....... Hmmm choices choice choices Whistle 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Damn, wish I had ordered my RRS earlier. I'm going to miss out on this recall so no free chocs for me Sad

Here's hoping for more recalls in the future! (Don't think I'm going to be disappointed there).

Have to say, my local dealer is brilliant with recalls, you specifically book it in to have the recall work done, come back at the end of the day to be told they've had to order the part which was specifically required for the recall. I never experience this one I think the Land Rover Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE combines high towing. However, when push comes to shove, the turbo diesel suffers a turbo lag.

I haven't had any Lag issues either but the dealer has advised that the software update is done anyway so I'm
taking his advice and letting them do it. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Twisted Evil 2.5 hours of upgrades and 80 miles later i am sidelined with "restricted performance" on the way home from work. A hard re set (stop turn off and wait whilst ringing dealership) cured it and all is well, but what is going on? Surely I would have had all of the patches today so i am seriously Censored Twisted Evil incidentaly, looks like the mpg figures are no better and drive wise its no different but curiosly the brakes are much sharper, is this down to a change to the pre load?? My 2010MY RRS 3.0 TDV6SE is Nara Bronze with Almond leather, straight grain walnut trim, 20" 15 spoke alloy's, mood lighting and power fold mirrors Gone

I picked up my 3.0 TDV6 mid november. So far the best mpg i can get is 26.1. Granted i don't do much motorway driving but i certainly drive it gently and am averaging 29mph. I've never had a recall. Should i call LR and try try and book it in for any software updates? I must admit teh book says it should do 30pm combined but i can't get anywhere near that.

Well, Had a visit to the Dealer today and they carried out quite a few software updates and one
solonoid replacement (to do with Turbo). Will need to give it a while to see if there was any effect
on MPG but as I didn't suffer Turbo Lag anyway I can't really say if that part of the S/W upgrade has done
anything. It certainly doesn't feel worse...... Which is nice Whistle Oh, and I got my nice box of Vin Rouge et Vin Blanc courtasy of LR Mr. Green Thumbs Up 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Germany 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Hello,

short feedback from Germany for fuel consumption before and after the Q093 updates with my 3.0l TDV6:

Before: slow boring driving, "Autobahn" max speed. 80 miles/h, normal street max speed. 62 miles/h
Fuel consumption: 19 mpg!!!

Before: normal driving with fun factor, "Autobahn" max speed. 100 miles/h, normal street max speed. 75 miles/h
Fuel consumption: 26 mpg!!! For free german streets and the 2.6 tons this is absolutely OK.

The update brings a more powerful and more harmonical running engine and seem to address a lot of the other problems (battery drain, ghost seats, keyless).

Me dealer said, that there was a brand new, corrected software update on 19th/20th of April (Germany) to the bulletin Q093!

Greetings from Germany
gseum

My Sport has done nearly 6000 miles, goes like a bullet and on a run on the m/way at 75-80 the trip computer shows 31+MPG. I use mainly Shell Optimax fuel, it blows no smoke and is as smooth as, well you know...

My 2006 Sport has a slight turbo lag mostly when trying to pull away quickly from a standstill, otherwise not a problem.

Had a brand new 8 miles on the clock Disco 4 the other week and the turbo lag was horrendous on that, very different. seemed to do it everytime you had backed off a little then went to accelerate again, nothing absolutley nothing for ages. The first couple of times it happened kept checking the fuel gauge as it was exactly like running out of fuel.

found it to be quite a scary experience.

Hi gazzer,

my RRS showed also very low fuel consumption on the computer and ran like a bullet. But all my fuel consumptions above were manually calculated with great differences to the computer - up to 11 mpg difference!

I have done another test drive: Driving extremly fast on german autobahn mostly with maximum speed (126 miles/h), rest between 110 and 125 miles/h, a part driving in the city with stop and go: 21,5 mpg as result - that's OK for me.

I'm satisfied with the update!
