Should think a run out to some nice little green lane could be fitted in if enough people wanted to experience the dark off road side.

Perhaps another option on the sign up: Clean your RRS with a toothbrush afterwards Smile

Could head for Salisbury Plain if we were able to recruit a couple of people to head small groups that know the area. Need to be very careful with numbers on the Plain. I'm there once a month on average so have a rough idea of where to go, however VA and certain others probably know it better.

An idea would be to meet at LPR, cruise to Salisbury Plain and then those who want to get muddy can drive the tracks, those who don't want to get too muddy can drive the gravel access roads (ROW dependent) and any showcars can perhaps park up somewhere central and hop in someone else's RRS.

Shouldn't bee too bad in the summer for road tyres.

If anyone can volunteer for the Salisbury bit then that would be superb!

If we did Salisbury it would be advisable to have at least one car with a winch - just in case. I know a few routes and a couple of easy fords. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

I would be up for this VA, give me a weeks notice to get there in the Defender though and you can have a winch equipped car there too, it hasn't done a long drive in a few years!! Early July would be better for me as I get home on June 1st and will have 7 weeks leave due. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced

Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Happy to bring my winch equipped G4 RRS along if it's a day on the plains. As long as people realise if they get stuck, winching them out is at their risk and not mine !!

My only fear with Salisbury is that the 20 wheels will get a battering - personally I wouldn't do any offroading wearing 20's. The standard 19's will be fine but owners do so at their own risk! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

If I'm not down in the caravan then I can get a trailer for the defender and save 3 days either way! Laughing Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

Good point re wheels. I was there with RRSBoy in his TDV8 last month and he did get a few marks on his 20"s. Perhaps the off-roading can be optional, at the drivers risk? Are you OK to put your hand up for organising this part of the day VA or are you still on your 20"s?

I can also probably arrange a winch equipped Def 110 G4 if required? Also have a couple of Netbooks running MemoryMap.

Perhaps the format should be:

(1) Meet at LPR for a cruise to Wiltshire.
(2) Lunch in a pub (Bustard Inn perhaps?) or picnic somewhere?
(3) Afternoon - Split into groups dependent on what they want to do:
GrpA = Green lanes with mud. (Aka black Run).
GrpB = Artillary movement tracks. (Aka red run).
GrpC = Scenic drive around Stone Henge etc (Aka green run).
(4) Meet back somewhere and depart.

Depending on how many vehicle elect for each group then we may need to split further to limit numbers on the Plain to 4 vehicles per group.

Hopefully I will have my new beastie by then, July would suit me best and would be keen for some offroad work.

I can't say whether I will be able to make it but happy to help. I'm usually away in August and July is my busiest month. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
