Here is a better picture with all the relevent part numbers, only the front pipes and centre is needed, therear is the same on the DPF model.

The cats look expencive, may be an aftermarket exhaust company can make non cat versions.

Is it possible to measuring that the dpf is removed from the car? because, in germany we had an very good organisation, called TÜV. If the look under the car in 3 years and ask where the dpf is i couldnt answer anything. So perhaps i also would need an dummy or anything else.

last question:

is the car faster and quicker after removing the dpf? and what can be damaged after the removal?

but as far as I am aware when you remove the DPF the car does not get any faster (some will disagree with me ) . There is no technical reason why it should.

Now to TUV, this is a bit tricky. As I my car comes from Germany I also need to take the German “rules” into consideration.
When I did the research, I found that some say that DPF as such is not required to pass TUV and get the reduced tax, though others claimed that DPF is required for the reduced emission (crap).
To be on the safe site, talk to the local TUV directly and get it in writing before you remove it.
Even if you sort TUV, do not forget about LR Germany (spent hours talking to the “lovely b ” over the phone). The official statement I got from them is do not do it under any circumstance.

Hmmm, I know that it is not of much help but that is where I came to halt.

After exchanging the sensor inside the DPF, I am trying to get the car out for a longer drive at least once a week (useless and pricy recommendation) and have not had any fault for almost two month now.

The DPF is not in this picture which is why i posted it, for the people who want to remove it.

Yes you need ecu tuning done to remove it from the system electricly.

Bobby, all LRs in Germany come with a DPF (authorities blame it on emissions)...

Is there a LR dealer who is willing to execute the exhaust/software conversion for my DPF equipped TDV8?
I've spoken to several dealers in Holland as well as Belgium and they were slightly hesitant to say the least.
I don't mind to cross the channel or drive over to Germany,France etc. as I am totally fed up with this thing.
All input is greatly appriciated

I would have thought that who ever installed your exhaust system could have removed the DPF filter

This was the only option available when I was having problems with mine DPF as none of the LR dealers wanted to do it. Revere were very helpful and offered to remove the DPF and install a whole new exhaust system which included rewriting the ECU - this however not only may invalidate your warranty claims but also cost £.

In the end (on third attempt) LR managed to identified the cause of the problems with my DPF (some small sensor inside of the unit was giving false readings). They exchanged the sensor within couple of hours and I have had no problems since

The JE exhaust was installed by by delaer before i took delivery of the car.
I gave the nice folks of JE a call but they weren't able to help me out on the DPF issue.

My warranty has surpassed a couple of weeks ago so this is not an issue for me.
I'll give the people of Revere a call to see if they can sort me out.

Edit: Just spoke to Adrian of Revere who told me they weren't able to delete the DPF.

I can order the parts and get them fitted in a jiffy.
Problem is that I would consequently need to change the software.
I've spoken to several dealers about this.
Every dealer served up a different story with the same bottom line that they were not allowed to alter the software. RRS TDV8 Alaska White,Remap, JE exhaust,DPF Removed

Hangover, you are asking them to change the nature of the car - quite obviously they will not agree to do it. Though, as your car is out of warranty and this is the modification you are after why don't you take the responsibility on your shoulders? Get the dealer to do it for you by accepting in writing all the potential risk this may cause. I wouldn't see a problem then.
The down side of this is that if anything goes wrong it will be an expensive mistake

Thanks for the input C10KO,I've proposed the exact same thing to my dealer.
However he was still reluctant to do so because as a result of the modification my car's emission values would not correspond with the numers stated on the car's certificate of conformity......
