Doesn't work long term though does it - over time customer base will shift then business declines with it - shareholders, worse off.

I've no problem in giving praise where its due and in this instance Karen from service in T n C has been outstanding! She's the only person that's gone out of her way to try and help yesterday! She's phoned and chased for me to try and get a car when LRA and Enterprise have left me to guess by telepathy what was happening! Same with LRCR too which is why I praised her on the phone to T n C this morning when Vikki called to say they could give me a Freeby to tide me over for a couple of days at least!

The new owners of LR (TATA) have made a big mistake by changing LRA in one foul swoop from a superb service (under Mondial) to a useless one (under the AA)! All to save a few quid!! Considering the price we pay for these vehicles, I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a good level of service from the breakdown service! 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Isn't the new interim CEO called Ravi Kant? I think he is related to the TATA family. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Another point that I just spoke to my insurers about with the Freelander (or any loaner through LRA) is that LRA only pay for "own damage" insurance and any 3rd party liability is done through a clause in MOST insurance policies that give you 3rd party cover to drive any vehicle not owned or leased to yourself. In a nutshell they cover the Freelander and any damage to it from an accident but you have to ensure you have cover to pay out for any damage to a 3rd party's vehicle or property.
