Just changed my 2.7 TDV6 for a MY10 3.0 TDV6 but over the 2 1/2 years i had the 2.7 (from new) it
averaged 27.6 mpg. Very little of my driving was in the city or motorway/dual carraigeway though, mostly the car was on country roads and through small towns. That said I agree with muffd, Fuel economy is not my 1st
priority. The safety of my family, comfort, practicality & go anywhere in any weather are my priorities. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

43mpg on a full journey I really can't believe - do you mean you reset the computer once at speed on the motorway?

Tim's right. I normally get 19.5mpg in town/heavy urban driving. Constant motorway run, she'll do 30mpg, no more (70 - 75 mph) 80 - 90 mph she'll do 28mpg. My mate tells me his does way better than this - but he only believes what he reads on a computer screen and is in denial to reality. Sheep

This mirrors mine to be honest, both the car mpg and my mates comments about his mpg Rolling Eyes

Had around 34 on a motorway journey once but couldn't stick to keeping my foot off the accelerator and it went down then to around 28-29

My average for last year was 26mpg.
Just had it serviced (4th year apparently needs a new fuel filter) .... now only getting 18.5mpg Sad

I`m hoping it just needs to settle in ? Anyone else experience this ?

Just tanked up after a month of snow, the computer showed 17.7mpg but actuall was 15.9mpg!
I can not see how people can be getting over 30mpg regulaly, once you hit any kind of stop start traffic the fuel economy drops quickly. 2014 Nara Bronze SDV6

I use an i-phone application called "AutoZoid" which is an excellent little package for tracking fuel consumption and other vehicle costs. City driving avreage is 9.7 l/100 kms. The computer shows 8.8.

Yes, I have found something similar. Nearly all my driving is local/town and I used to get 21mpg, went in for the 60k service and now I seem to be getting 18mpg. Question Only thing that has changed is the weather has got colder unless this has had some effect.
