The Tail gate on my08 RRS TDIV8 seems half closed like the soft close hasnt engaged to fully close it, but I cant open iy either.

I know there is the button under the handle and the single push button on the tail gate itself.

few times it happened to me especially in the winter. While at the dealer I told them to check the tailgate, and they said there was nothing wrong with it. the only solution I found was to give a kick to the tailgate in the lower part to get it closed. the push doesn't necessarily work so you need to kick harder then everything works fine.

I cant find any tailgate release buttons on my dash, is this something that only came in the later models ?? Got a problem with my glass section of the tailgate. It wont open, anybody any idea if there are any simple fixes ? |

Happened to me the other day again and I was able to open the upper section with the lower section ajar and sort it out. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Press and hold lock and unlock together on the centre console for around 3 - 5 secs and the tailgate opens |

Got it fixed, turned out it was a frozen lock, night in a warm garage and some lubrication fixed it.
