Just noticed that the front and rear screens switch on automatically if temperature is low, which is fine if it is parked outside but seems a bit pointless when it has been parked in a garage or carport and windscreens are nice and clear which means I have to turn them both off each time I start in cold weather

It doesn't give temperature figure in the manual, just says when it is low temperature, think it might be 5 degrees as that was when the little snowflake symbol used to show before in my 2006 model. Didn't give any indication in the manual if you can turn off this option either, has anyone found out if you can? https://www.plus.net/refer.php?strReferral...d093cba6a7 Gone - RRSPORT TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue/Ivory, Privacy Glass, Tasmods Sills, Supercharged Black Badges all round, Grille & Vents, plus RRSport Sticker & Brolly of course. |

I think its a great feature, but the last few times it has come on in mine it hasn't been in the least bit frozen. WINNER - 2009 Just Doing What Its Designed To Do Award

Must admit it a waste coming on when been in garage overnight but still usefull and its easy to press the two turn off switches when not needed |

It would be easier to press the two switches to turn it on when you need it ![]() Good idea but it should be a selectable option really.. ![]() Gone - RRSPORT TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue/Ivory, Privacy Glass, Tasmods Sills, Supercharged Black Badges all round, Grille & Vents, plus RRSport Sticker & Brolly of course. |

Think the heated mirrors are the same, only come on when its cold enough. IIRC pre 10MY they used to come on with the front screen.

Well as I have mentioned in another post I did quite a bit of driving today, stopping and starting a lot and every time I started her up on come all the heaters which you certainly don't need once the car is warmed up.
