Was told it was EGR vales now its maybe the turbo

Hopefully some one can help or advise me on this matter.

My RRS has given me no problems over the last few years, but last week after a long journey, the following morning it came up with a engine system failure.

I took it to the local dealer where they told me it was the EGR valves, ive since had them replaced but there is another fault with the turbo now.

Im not 100% sure of the fault as im offshore at the moment getting information from my girlfriend. The fault is something like turbo circuit pressure low, to me that does not sound mechanical which a turbo is but an actuator or a wiring fault on the boost side. There isn't blue smoke or any normal signs of turbo failure. Hopefully someone can help.
Many thanks.

often the two faults are related - EGR goes and Turbo fails soon after, or the other way round. If you use the search tool on the tool bar and search on EGR or "turbo" you will find plenty of posts about this problem. you can also join the sister forums www.disco3.co.uk and there are numerous posts there about this quite common TDv6 problem 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Though turbo failure is not uncommon in these their is also a pipe that tends to split as well and cause loss of power etc.

Look up posts Tim suggested.

Hope its a pipe as turbos are expensive if out of warranty

Thanks for your feedback.

I'll have a look at the posts mentioned.

Guess i'll just have to wait till i get home to check the pipes out myself.

Any idea how much a turbo costs for a RRS?

Ive also heard of actuator faults, but i was told that they don't come seperate from the turbo unit, is this correct?
