That is a very good deal indeed! I would imagine that the dealer in question will also be sold out very soon at that rate. It's always very difficult to juggle supply and demand, and to be fair I think that most dealers gave away a little too much at launch and are now sat with no stock.

TBH if you can get £3k off and (the and is important) you get a better than fair PX valuation then grab it with both hands. We are sold out of D4 until Feb, have 1 RR between now and Jan and have 2 SC RRS and 4 3.0's therefore we won't have enough to meet demand (and we are one of the biggest dealers).

We are realistic, and we do look after our customers (especially forum members ), however you have to draw a line somewhere from a commercial perspective. We are happy to look at any deal that any customer has been quoted, however in some instances we do have to politely say that we can't match or beat that deal. It all depends on what the deal is, if the car is in stock or due soon, and whether the deal would generate another profit opportunity on the forecourt. We will NEVER turm business away if it makes sense for all involved.

If production changes then all that I have written above will be irrelevant as the playing field will have changed, however if residules are protected by high demand (as some of our customers have seen their PX's increase by £3000 this year) then it can't be a bad thing.

Gazzer - Let me know when you're ready to change. We don't get many gremlins at CHPR, but if we do then any dealer will look after them. I obviously appreciate that if the gremlins get too much then it could be a trek to discuss it with us, but my glass is is half full so I hope that wouldn't happen!!!

also got about 3k off a 3.0l . dealer says all the new stock is gone and they can't get any till after xmas.

by then the VAT will have gone up and everyone pays £1K more or so.

Stratstones have been calling me, offering 3 yrs GAP Insurance for £350. IMHO it is wasted money, yes I 'may' have an accident or theft, but you can be over insured. that's how I got them down to £200, I quoted them what was available on the net. And that was for 3 years.
He gave me the spiel of end of qtr, missed targets to justify dropping to match the quote.
I suspected they were just taking the in the first place.

I will never buy another car without GAP, had the need to use it before when 2 1/2 years into the 3 year policy. Meant I had no depreciation on that car.
Not a bad investment.
