Hello!

Although I've already posted a few times, I thought I might as well say hello, properly.

Top marks to Martin ...and the Moderators ...and the Techies - brilliant site!
I've learned more in the past weeks than I had in the 10 months since i got the RRS.

Top marks to the ordinary members too - it's a pleasure to use a forum where the vast majority of people take the time to actually post in a readable language - not a big fan of txt type.

If I come across anything of value I'll post it (such as, don't be afraid to clean the sunroof drains with a coathanger) - but in the meantime I'm too busy reading ...every single topic!!! it's just a blue oil burner

Aged off-roader who needs a bit of class and a quiet vehicle to play some serious metal. Will be buying an RRS in the near future to replace an 80 series for serious bush travel.
Land rover wont answer me, but can anyone advise whether fitting an Air locker will affect the operation of the Terrain Response etc etc. As far as I can tell, the sensors are in the wheels and the set up is no different whether or no the eDiff is fitted? ASIF. As if I give a ....

Welcome ASIF, you will be the first to try it if you do! The TR system is really very good and combined with an e-diff there won't be many places you cannot go. Some folks have found that the Sand setting on the TR is the best setting for many of the situations that the other settings are supposed to be for and I believe the boffins at LR have fined tuned it to allow even more versatility for the 2010MY version. No so many take their RRS's where I suspect you intend to go with yours if you are looking at fitting an airlocker, that's a pretty serious offroad mod for any of the more modern Land Rovers. On the few occassions that I went offroad with my previous RRS I found that I preferred to drive it without using the TR, especially in the programmes that engage HDC which while has undoubted benefits for those who have never driven older style Land Rovers I found to be a pain and engaged too early for my liking. I wouldn't be with out it on a very steep hill though, but it does engage even on the level and try to hold the car back so I only used it when I needed it and pressed the off button otherwise. The car drives just the same as any other non TR with out using the programmes. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

welcome ASIF, might be worth polling the D3 guys on the ANZ forum in Australia about the "broader capabilities" of serious outback and bush driving with the Sport http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/australia-new-zealand-vf13.html Thumbs Up I did an offroad day not to far back where one of the D3's had modifications to give it better clearance, and they have done a lot more mods than us Sport owners i would say... Not heard of anyone going down the Air locker route Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Ireland 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver
New to the fold...

Hi

Sealed a deal on a 06 RRS 2.7 HSE at the weekend and due to collect it tomorrow evening. Very Happy

Zambezi Silver with Alpeca premium leather... standard HSE spec with bluetooth prep (I think that's it...but it's hard to work out what's standard spec and what isn't!)

It has a full LR history and just had the big service with new tyres, pads, discs, ball joints and some other suspension buses, replacement nav screen (original was a little faded aparrently) - so hopefully it won't need anything major for a while!

I've been doing a lot of research on here for the last few days and it certainly seems like a great forum!

Quick question - will my car have the refrigerated storage box as standard - Feb'06 build?

Plenty more questions to come I'd imagine!

Pics as soon as I've collected and cleaned!

Best,
Rich
