hello, not been on here for ages, but, now got TDV8 HST and the suspension has been knocking for some time... been in and they have removed the dampers, well there's an empty bolt hole at the lower rear of each front wheelarch and i must say the knocking is a lot less intrusive... i hope they havn't just forgotten to put something back on....

something went bang!!

driving home last night, i was going round an island, there was a bang and slight jolt in the steering Shocked , sounded a bit like i had just run over a climate protester Rolling Eyes , after this bang there has been a knocking noise coming from the nearside front suspension..... any ideas what it might be? sounds a bit different to the posts above. Crying or Very sad

Sounds as if something has broken - probably a universal joint or a wheel bearing breaking up. Best get it carefully to your dealer and get them to check it out asap Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

When you say 2006 - do you know when it was built?

MY2007 had DR as an option for the diesel HSEs, but that was only on cars built from Sep 06 onwards.
