These problems crop up but if it was the fuel filter I doubt that can explain suspension errors. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

i get the same warnings when my wife drives my tdv8, nothing to do with her driving, she's great, it is to do with the hand controls that i have fitted (legs do not work well after bike crash). the hand controls are linked to both aceel and brake pedal, slight movements can occure in the brake pedal when using the accel, not enought to stop the car, but to trigger a warning that the brake padals are being applied while driving.

So am I, and round here there is no price advantage over Shell/BP/Texaco to the 2 supermarket fillingstations. I stopped using sainsbury's fillingstation last year and have used Shell/BP/Jet or Texaco since - I'm getting 2-3mpg better too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |

Just to add my two pence worth - often had problems with the EGR valves becoming faulty on my TDV6 always caused by a build up of sticky carbon (anyone else that had to wait for valves to be on back order i apologise i think most of the UK stock has been used on mine !) always used to use Tesco to fill up as it was cheap, convenient and had a supermarket attached to it which may or may not have done great breakfasts - stopped using Tesco and started using Shell 12 months ago and never had an issue with my EGR valves since, like Tim i'm getting more MPG and the car seems to pull more smoothly through all the gears and really flys if i put V power in it. 2005 TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver Ebony Interior Sunroof, RSE, Side Steps

I wonder if you always use supermarket diesel, if every so often you should add a few shots of the Diesel equivalent to what used to be called Reddex to a tankful of tractor juice. I have also stopped using supermarket diesel in my Defender which has the 300tdi engine and what a difference there is in that! No more black smoke on acceleration for a start, cannot say there has been a significant improvement in the fuel consumption like the RRS has shown though 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

A while ago (can't remember when exactly) Fifth Gear did an experiment on fuel additives and found they made little or no difference. If i recall correctly additives like Reddex work by increasing the cetane value which helps improve the ignition of the fuel - the danger with this is that it's very hard to get the dosing correct in a petrol station environment only accurate way would be to do it on a litre by litre basis.
