If the tank is actually full, then it sounds like the dealer has it right. I don't remember that ever being reported on here but that's not to say such a thing wouldn't happen

I had this - the float in the tank is absorbing water and sinks and sets off the low coolant warning. This is a warranty job and has happened to many. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

There is actually a TSB issued for this (see the NA version below, the one in Europe may or may not be different.) Problem is, for a while dealers in the US were replacing faulty expansion tanks with more faulty tanks! There must have been a big batch of them around. Make sure your dealer is aware of the TSB, as you can see there is a specific manufacture date or code on the "good" tanks they need to check before installing. I am sure they are aware of that by now, but this is Land Rover and you never know...

I have this right now - been doing it infrequently for a while and mentioned it last week during service, apparently the bottle material cracks somewhere allowing the sensor to become saturated - fix is new bottle. They had to order one and they are on backorder.... under warranty... |

Yep, had this after the dealer fitted the FBH which required draining the coolant down. I thought they hadn't fully refilled the reservoir and complained that they had had the car for 3 days and should have run it enough to find out if there were air locks. Turned out to be the sensor was faulty too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Welcome Baxter! Don't worry, there are very few problems that are "one offs", so if you do get a prob, just check out a few of the forums and you will more than likely find a solution! RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof |
