The police were at our company offices in Aberdeen this afternoon. Our firm is heavily involved with work on board the Miller platform at present, so i can only assume that some of our people are gone |

My younger brother used to fly on the super pumas out to his rig in the Beryl field, it was always worrying when you heard of anything about a helicopter in trouble out on the North Sea. My sympathy to all that are involved.

Just arrived offshore on Hibernia after a 22 hour boat ride. We were on the boat when we heard about this latest Super Puma going down. Tragic. Looks like no-one survived. I knew one of the guys - Davy Rae, a toolpusher for KCA Drilling.

Derek was working out there then too, at that time he worked for Marconi as a radio officer, later he got a job with Mobil as a telecoms tech on the Bravo but he did work on both rigs. Before that he was with Odeco on the Ocean Nomad. The Big C dosn't respect anyone, it has taken my mother, brother and uncle in the past few years. This is deeply worrying. Surely sabotage is not a word anyone would like to associate with these unfortunate accidents and incidents... Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award
