England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White
Condensation inside light fitting

Guys

Anyone else got condensation inside the cover for the front lights? the lights themselves work fine but it just doesn't look great having beads of water on the inside of the lens!

Car is going in to dealer later this week - is this something they should sort out?

I had 2 inches of water in mine! These are not sealed units and the water will evaporate. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Condensation should burn off once the headlamps are switched on for a while. As VA says, they are not sealed units so condensation does build up occasionally. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

You can take them apart but its not orth it, when you can just stick a blow dryer into the back end where you change the HID bulb and it willl dry it quick. The only problem you may have from condensation after a while is water spots on the inside of the lens. If that happens then hit me up for info on how to open the lens up.

Ive just added a LED for my wabasto heater timer in the front light today and found a small ammount of condenstation when doing it.

I think it was a leaking seal on a bulb cover that caused it, and it had not evaporated with the bad weather we have had this week , but after the lights was on for about 30 mins tonight it cleared again.

Regards Pete
