Transmission Fault Warning

Hi

Since yesterday on three ocassions my V6TD has told me that it has a Transmission Fault. However it still appears to be driving fine and if I stop, turn the engine off, remove the keys then restart, the system check appears to give it a clean bill of health.

I am going to take it to my local deal, since its just over 2 years old and still under warrant, but was wondering whether anyone had had a similar message and the likely problem (s).l

thanks

Fairly common problem and a soft reset will often sort the problem out. If the problem persists it is a visit to your dealer will be needed as cause can be a number of things. Not something to worry about. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Cheers - this may seem like a daft question, but what is a soft reset?

Basically what you did. Using the key fob lock the car, unlock it, lock it, unlock it = soft reset. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
