New kid on the block

Hi guys, Eagerly awaiting my (07) TDV6 HSE. My first Land/ Range Rover and in fact my first 4x4. Can't F Censored kin' wait! Have wanted one for ages but she should be here by the end of the week (depending on the dealer / DVLA combination getting my plate changed over!).
Is the TDV6 underpowered would you say? It didn't seem too sluggish while out on the test but just be gutted if it just plods along - The missus wouldn't let me re-mortgage the house to refill the S/C every other day!!!! Crying or Very sad
I have been reading the site for a bit now - Really good by the way, V.helpful - and have read a couple of posts slating Kahn Confused . Whats the history? Seems like they don't have too many fans on here. Incidentally, mines not a Kahn RRS but i do like some of the ones I've seen (though not sure about some of the interior colour schemes). Question
Anyway, off to gaze at the RRS brouchure again. . . . ahh, not long now!!!!!!

Welcome DJH and congrats on your new toy! Thumbs Up

TDV6 will never win any races, but a lot of us have found it actually reforms the way we drive... the RRS is suited to floating around rather than booting it everywhere although it also does that pretty well considering its size Very Happy

Thanks

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Hmm, a change to my driving style. . . . Not altogether a bad thing as I've now got down to (touch wood, fingers crossed etc) a clean licence for the first time in . . . well, a while! Seeing as the Sport is not the cheapest motor I've ever had to insure it's probably a bloody good job i didn't go for the SC!! Smile

Sounds like Kahn could do with spending a bit more on PR and a bit less on dodgy coloured leather for their interiors eh?!?! Wink

Australia 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hi,

Just had my RRS for 1 week now after a string of Mercedes saloons. This is the best car I have ever owned without a doubt. I love cars and also have a 1978 ferrari 308 GT4 in the garage. Í do a lot of country driving and am going to buy a car bra to prevent stone chips. Has anyone bought one in Australia? If so, what brand, how did it fit etc. 2006 Black/Alpaca, Hi Ice, Dynamic Pack, 19" wheels, Clear Pack...
