2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Heath you won't find any in dealers because it was dicontinued in the UK in late 2006 when the TDv8 was introduced for MY 2007, it was never very popular in the UK as it gave horrendous fuel economy for little go and more folks went for the S/C version instead. The 4.4 is still available as an export model for USA/Canada/Singapore and a few other markets where diesels are not really accepted for passenger cars. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced

Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Heath, your dealer's talking out of his ar$e. It isn't a feature of the car! It a problem that can be fixed - some owners on the American site (http://www.rangerovers.net/forum) have reported this (mostly on the supercharged though)and it's been fixed in most cases. The petrol V8 is far more common in the USA so you might want to ask the same question on that site.

Wales 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Java Black

Heath,
Just got back from Canada so catching up on posts. Yes I have a 4.4 and I do not have trouble with the engine from cold. It starts 1st turn of the key and accelerates normally even when cold. So I would dispute the dealer's statement that it is a characteristic of the car/engine - IT'S NOT. Personally I think it's a very accomplished engine. Fuel economy is 18-22mpg for me which is reasonable. No doubt we can all debate this in London in August. Laughing Laughing Laughing
