United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red
Next door neighbour is showing off - help !

My next door neighbour has proudly announced this morning that he is soon to be the proud owner of a BMW X5 M twin turbo 3 litre diesel which he describes as a RRS TDv8 "eater" Shocked

Tells me that these vehicles are soon to arrive in the UK and a relative of his that works in a local BMW dealer has promised him one of the first. He tells me that this X5 will make the TDv8 look, sound and go like a Bond Bug Big Cry

Should I be worried Question RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Yes but ...

My TDv8 is chipped and I reckon that takes at least 1 second off the 0-60, it goes around corners and stops brilliantly and does all that without rattling my fillings out. And if you are "forced" off the road, at least the vehicle has the ability to get back to the tarmac, whereas the X5 off tarmac is like a fish out of water.

And pesonally the Green Oval (ok mine are black) still has the ability to lighten my step and warm my heart whereas a Beemer feels cold, clinical, efficent and "german"

Each to their own I guess, but I shall not covet my neighbours car Thumbs Up

... mind you, his wife is very pretty ..... Wink RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Smarticus, you can always sit back with a smug grin knowing that BMW stole all of their 4 x 4 technology from Land Rover.

If it wasn't for Land Rover and the now defunct Rover Group there would be no X5, X3 or even the ever popular BMW Mini !!! Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Do you really care? The RRS is a far better looking vehicle than the X5, which frankly looks horrific. Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Cayenne is a lot worse than the X5. RRS is definately best looking 4X4, but we are a biased lot.

Come on, the X5 is a ScRuMummy car, by that I mean School Run Mummy! Whistle

Nothing wrong with that, but being 6ft 3", 18 stone and full of testosterone, I'd not be seen dead in a BMW showroom taking possession of the keys!

I will of course be shot down in flames, but I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking it. Before I go, the opposite cannot be said the other way round as there is something strangely appealing about a female behind the wheel of a Sport! TDV8 HSE in Java/Ebony with Zebrano Wood, RSE, Hybrid TV, and a few other bells and whistles.
