We are tuning via obd now. As for LR diagnostics, i cant think of a way this machine would know that the ecu had been tuned. It is quite possible for LR diagnostics too overwrite our tune back too standard, i have been working on a way too disable this feature however this would then make it obvious that the ecu had been tuned. A catch 22 situation. |

I know this is slightly off topic, but I have had experience of JE parts and found them to be excellent . Fitted a chip and intercooler for my old P38A and the difference it gave the car was outstanding. I would use them again but this time around turbochip met my needs better.

All tuning companies who 'flash' update an ecu via the OBD or re-chip run the slight risk that the manufacturer could update an ecu and 'remove' the upgrade without knowing.

This is of more concern too vehicles in germany where they can use the vehicles top speed but LR have released updates for the TDV6 engine ecu, the update was mostly smoothing of the speed limiter cut-in and increase the speed limiter on some models. (this was due too brochure numbers being higher that the vehicle was actually limited too)

I am not sure if this was mentioned before, is there a chip solution for gas powered U.S. spec vehicles? If so, what kind of performance gains should one expect on a Sport S/C? |
