Went from a 996 to the s/c not so long ago. I have had some tails of woe, but bought from a dealer who in their defence are bending over back wards to the point where if there is anything annoying me about the car, they will pick it up and fix FOC - for the time being at least!

Service costs are around that mark, a little cheaper but most LR service centres will charge about £120 per hour but many members have been able to get a 20% discount on these rates - worth asking! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I have to say, picked mine up yesterday and filled it up. Took it for a leisurely cruise 4 up with the little 'un on board so very nice and easy. Didnt check the mpg but it hardly moved off the fuel guage. Think if you keep it nice and smooth you can do very well, although I did put my foot down once (when i was on my own) and that 5 seconds was the equivalent of driving for 20 mins smoothly.

I wonder if the MPG figure of 26 I use for the TDv6 is a bit high?

Over my year's ownership I got 25mpg, mostly motorways so I don't think it's far off the mark.
