Markos, Discussed many a time........... a distinguishing trait, quality would apply to all models with ARC..which we know not to be true. Keep applying the pressure. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now! 5 series for the miles RRS S/C factory built HST - Gone 45 others have been and gone! |

I have just had sight of a TSB issued on 20 October for this subject. Sorry didn't get the number. But it applies to the RRS and the D3.

Having read the remarks from other members, my sport which is only six months old was taken into Guy Salmon Sheffield today due to the knocking suspension. Having requested the patch file and bushes. They have come back to say that the Patch file 3 does not do anything to rectify the dynamic response and that my bushes are in order. They have registered a report for me with LR who advised them again today it is just a general characteristic of the vehicle. They have had numerous complaints from customers over the same issue. I am proposing to write to Land Rover placing them on notice of my intention to refer the matter to Top Gear and Watchdog if they are not prepared to rectify the faults.

To my fellow frustrated colleagues, some possible light at the end of one tunnel. I had a long chat today with Fred, from Trivett Land Rover in Sydney. Let me outline that I have the "knocking" problem that comes from bushes/ball joints etc, NOT the one from the DR system. It is important to deliniate the 2 as some of us might have been trying to solve one problem with the wrong solution. Anyway, he told me that for my "knocking" LR have now released a "fix" and a part number for the bits needed. The bits consist of new "wet" ball joints and lower contol arms. No date for parts arrival yet...I'll keep you posted. I'll be glad to get this fixed as it is not good form for a $100K car to sound like the front end is falling out over the most minor bumps in the road!! 2006 Black/Alpaca, Hi Ice, Dynamic Pack, 19" wheels, Clear Pack... |
