United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Hello Everyone,

I have just purchased a 12MY Range Rover Sport HSE in Orkney Grey with black leather interior. Just finished a 5 hour drive
back to where I am currently staying in Germany and the car performed every bit as well as I imaged it would. Looking forward to being part of this great community. All the Best, Eric.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hi everyone
I have just purchased my first Range Rover Sport it’s a 2007 TDV6 HSE not having it until later this week but looking forward to driving it, I have had Land Rovers for a good few years but these have all been Discoveries except for a short spell with a Freelander only driven a Range Rover once and that was the test drive on the one I have purchased will post some pics when I get her

Scotland 2011 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Sumatra Black

Hi all.
After owning a number of Freelanders I have joined the big boys club and became the proud owner of 2011 RRS HSE yesterday. Went to look at BMW X3 but was so underwhelmed I couldn’t do it. RRS cast it’s spell and for better or worse It is sitting on my driveway. I just love it BUT put CD in player now won’t eject??? With any luck this will be the worst it can do to me although it being a Christmas CD this might be a bit tiresome come the summer. Looking forward to being part or the RRS community.

Can you hear it trying to eject repeatedly until it gives up? If so, pop the facia trim off and it will probably pop out. The top of my facia had bent inwards (not enough to be visible) and stopped it coming out. Submersing in Boiling water and a wedge bent it back enough so it doesn’t do it now.

Unit is trying to eject CD as you say. Will give your suggestion a go tomorrow. Thanks for the advice and welcome.

Welcome to the forum mate, as for your question, I guess for most people it comes down to the mileage you expect to cover. Petrol is obviously more expensive to run but “appears” to be cheaper in maintenance. I’ve had my 2012 5.0 for 12 months and I’ve replaced the from ARB pipes and rear brake lines which cost £450. The service was cheaper by a long shot over the diesal. Fun factor isn’t quite to my M3 standard but the engine noise more than makes up for it, especially seeing as 70mph is the fastest I can drive.

Go take out a SDV6, TDV8 and a 5.0 SC for a test drive and let your heart decide, what ever you do, don’t take your head or else you’ll probably drive away with a focus!! 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
