Just signed up for membership to the site having trawled in extensively over the past few weeks for insight and tips. Bought a 2008 3.6 TDV8 HSE in August. Java black, cream interior, sunroof, rear tv's for the kids. Always wanted one, completely ridiculous expenditure relative to more sensible family cars. It has been hugely unreliable since i got it, breaking down on the M4 at half term holiday andnhaving to be rought home on a flatbed only last week. Minor niggles it turns out, being turbo hose and wheel bearings respectively. All fixed up now and the best thing i ever did. I smile everywhere i drive and absolutely loving the ownership experience.

Turns out I've been 'lurking' for some time. My other half has been looking at the Maserati GT but I constantly make the suggestion that he has mentioned the RRS on several occasions and he may wish to look at one so today we went looking and it would seem that a Petrol V8 is what he wants. Win win all round, he gets a V8 and a 'practical' car for our outdoor activities and I get something a bit more practical when doing the food shop and ikea trips, well more practical from a 2 seater 'sports' car and a 700bhp skyline GTR.

Purchased a 4.2 S/C V8 privately, we will pick it up on Saturday and then drive it the 330 odd miles home.

New owner here just recently bought a MY2010 HSE 3L diesel in black.
Very happy with it.

Anyways, I'm in a funny situation right now as just after I bought my RR Sport I find myself having to sell it straight away literally 2 or 3 days afterwards due to a property just coming on to the market that we've been after for a while.

Both good and bad feelings mixed - good that we get to go for a new property but bad that I've only had a couple of days with the new motor.

I was looking forwards to being part of this online community, but even after I do sell I think I will keep an interest on here as I know I'll be looking to buy another one in a year or two time when things settle down.

The good thing is that as part of the sale the dealership changed the cambelt and related pullys etc., gave it a full service and changed the brake pads/discs for new.
So the car is in tip top condition and ready to go.

Just need to sell to free up the finances for the all the costs involved in buying a house!


Whoever buys it next will be getting a pretty sweet deal.

Unfortunately our deal has fallen through. The car developed a clunky gearbox this morning so my deposit and travel costs have been refunded. Now on the look out for another car incase the issues isn't fixed.

Welcome to the forum Pabloduke. Towing kit was very popular and even if you find one without not difficult or too costly to fit. Finding one with a sunroof though might be difficult as it was not a popular option for some reason, not a lot of the early RRS owners specced it. Colour, do you want a green one or a silver one or a silvery green one? Giverny green is the silvery green colour as in attached photo, my own car but I had the Aspen mossy green and Ivory interior.
