Heated windscreen

I am not a fan of the heated windscreen which seems to come as stanadard for all new RRS (PHEV) models. Do you know if a non-heated windscreen can be fitted as a factory order or by a third party provider?

As they all come with a heated screen then there is unlikely to be a non heated screen made by anyone as they would by replacement screens.

What's wrong with heated screen? 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

I feel dizzy when looking through it. I had the same
issue with the Jaguar XF I previously owned and had to swap out the windscreen.

I think the heated windscreen is/was an option on vehicles supplied to hot locations - Middle East, Australia, etc., - so it ought to be possible to get an unheated screen. Probably take a lot of work, however, as UK glass replacement companies won't have them in their stock line for obvious reasons.

You probably need to speak to Land Rover directly and try to buy an Australian screen directly from them. That way, any attached bits will be correct for a RHD vehicle as Australia drives on the left like we do. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I would think the factory should be able to do it to order, if non electric models have plain. Worth asking.

On the other hand it maybe a requirement. i.e without it, will the blower cut in to sufficiently clear the windscreen? They have a mist sensor, so the logic may not be programmed to turn the blower on, if it thinks the heater will do it.

Worth talking to dealer/JLR as a special order and see what they say, even if you don't intend to go with their expensive path
