You'll run the risk of damaging the ACE pump if you run it without fluid.

Didn't want to hear that. I hoped the valve block would shut off and not let fluid through when the pressure/level dropped |

If the level is still on the minimum, there is still oil in the system.

Cheers Mike. I've arranged to meet some 20 miles from here in the morning with a gallon of fluid. I'll keep an eye on the level and top off when I have to.

Made it home. Couple of top ups but must be a slowish leak. Just took my time and it didn't run dry so should be good with just pipes.

Mikey is just down the road from me. I'm going to give him a call tomorrow and have a chat. I am a mechanic so should manage the job, although I thought my days of rolling about in the drive under cars were behind me |

Yes agree but that’s part of the enjoyment takes me back to my younger days working on cars !mind that was when you could repair a car with hammer ,screwdrivers ,cigarette paper lol Triumph Herald ,Cortinas ,Viva ,Minis lol and such like of the period lol |
