Front end knock

I have an intermittent knock from the front. I can both hear it and feel it through the steering wheel when it occurs. It has only started recently, whether it is a coincidence that I had both front wheel bearings done and the arb’s is anybody’s guess. It was not there prior to the work being done.

Any ideas?

If you drive at walking pace and tap the brakes, does it knock then? Would suggest lower front arm bushes.

Or it could one of a number of things - track rod ends, steering lower joint. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I had something similar... Eventually tracked it down to a 22mm impact socket, which the mechanic had left/dropped behind the front grille. Laughing

Good luck, I hope yours is a 'cheap' to fix.

Update: car has been to the garage but everything seems tight. Had new arms etc. last year and don’t do many miles per year. Knock is still present, trouble is that it is so intermittent.

Bad new wheel bearing? Not impossible. Seen new ball joints creak from having zero grease from the factory. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

Strangely enough, I had both front bearings done about a year ago. Certainly worth investigating…
