Quick question. The glovebox on my car just drops like a stone when you open it. Is it meant to be that way or should it have a soft opening? Current - 2020 Range Rover Sport P400e

Just opened mine,on My 16, drops slowly, looks like a curved plastic rack and wheel on sides doing the biz. |

Even my RRS1 opens slowly, assuming the RRS2 is similar to the RRS1 check that the little gearwheel/damper in the attached picture has some resistance when turning it as it should have, or if the teeth are broken or stripped.

Part number linked above is for a LHD vehicle. Rimmer Bros website is wrong. As I have found out.

Sorry my mistake, FFZ500090 looks to be listed for the r/h/d L320 and l/h/d L494, is the damper on the opposite side on the L494 then? by the passengers door not the console.

Eventually got this sorted. The correct part number for a right hand drive vehicle is FFZ500080.
